iPIXEL LASER

WHAT IS iPIXEL LASER?

iPixel is a fractional ablative laser that works by creating microcolumns of perforations in your skin, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This allows for rapid healing and stimulates new collagen and elastin production, which improves the volume and texture of your skin, as well as minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. As collagen remodels, scars begin to fade and your skin recovers its youthful radiance.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The treatment come with little discomfort but expect a slight heat sensation during the treatment, similar to a sunburn. No anesthesia is required. While the length of the treatment will vary for each individual, sessions will take between 30 minutes to an hour with a course of 3 to 5 treatments recommended, one every four to six weeks, for best results.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

iPixel is a particularly effective laser treatment for individuals with scars from acne, as well as active acne, enlarged pores, rough skin textures, hyperpigmentation and photo damaged skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks. This treatment can be performed on any skin type. This treatment is fantastic for mild to medium wrinkling with little downtime and can be combined with a number of other treatments. Fully ablative laser can also be used for deeper penetration.

CONDITIONS iPIXEL CAN TREAT

  • Wrinkles

  • Ear Lobe Treatment

  • Skin Tightening

  • Crepey Décolleté

  • Acne Scarring

  • Hyperpigmentation

Uneven or excessive pigmentation caused by the abnormal production of melanin that is exacerbated by sun exposure, hormones, trauma and age.

What to expect: A light chemical peel may result in mild stinging upon application, a medium strength peel comes with a slight burning sensation whilst with a deeper peel, a sedative or a topical local anesthetic will be applied to numb the skin. With all peels post-treatment you will experience redness, flaking and swelling in varying degrees so always choose a suitable qualified and experienced practitioner like Dr Zamani to carry out your peel and give you suitable aftercare products and instructions.

Also good for: Enlarged pores, rough skin texture, photo damaged skin, acne and facial rejuvenation.

Alternative treatments: Fractional Ablative Laser, Light treatment, IPL and skincare.

  • Age Spots

The result of intensive exposure to direct sunlight accrued over a lifetime, the ultraviolet rays stimulate the pigment cells ‘melanocytes’ to kick-start the production of pigment ‘melanin’. This changes the colour of skin and causes unsightly patches of brown hues.

What to expect: Light treatments target the pigment in the skin to help diminish pigmentation resulting in a clearer complexion. There may be up to 7-10 days where areas of hyperpigmentation look darker after treatment and any redness, erythema and swelling should last for only 24 hours followed by clearer more even skin tone. For best results 3-5 treatments are recommended.

Also good for: Sun damage, hyper pigmentation, smoothing out skin tone.

Alternative treatments: iPixel, Peels and Cryotheraphy.

  • Sun Damage

Photo-ageing or sun damage is the consequence of excessive exposure to the sun’s harmful and powerful rays leaving skin with wrinkles, brown or sunspots, and pigmentation.

What to expect: Chemical peels are an effective way to repair sun-damaged skin by removing the outer layers of the skin to freshen the complexion and to reduce freckles and irregular pigmentation. As a consequence, fine lines and wrinkles are also softened during the treatment. With all peels post treatment you may experience varying levels of redness, flaking and swelling so always choose a suitable qualified and experienced practitioner to carry out your peel and give you suitable aftercare products and instructions.

Also good for: Acne and skin rejuvenation.

Alternative treatments: Cyrotherapy, Light Treatments, Fractional ablative laser.

  • Uneven Skin Texture

  • Melasma

A common skin condition, also known as a pregnancy mask, in which various patterns of pigmentation develop on the face. Whilst the exact cause is not known, several factors such as pregnancy, hormones, medications and sun exposure can stimulate Melasma.
What to expect: Dermamelan peels and depigmentation agents can reduce and eliminate the appearance of dark patches and brown blemishes on skin. Treatment can be used on all skin types, even Skin Types IV-VI that are harder to treat with peels and lasers. There should be no discomfort or irritation to the skin during the treatment but a day or two post-treatment skin will feel tight and red. Expect skin flaking and peeling, during the first week with significant improvements after treatment.
Also good for: Acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
