To treat hyperpigmentation and melasma, this treatment has been designed as a potent protocol that combining gentle, fractional, non-ablative 1927 MOXI™laser with intradermal injections of Tranexamic Acid. MOXI™ can be used on all skin tones to promote new cell growth and reduce unwanted pigmentation with less downtime than more aggressive laser treatments. MOXI™ is safe on all skin types because there is no deep heat creation triggering melanocyte activity. Tranexamic Acid works to interrupt pathways in the skin that create melanin and therefore pigment in the skin. (There is the option for oral or topical TA if the patient prefers).
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Prior to treatment, a VISIA facial analysis is done followed by topical anaesthetic cream for 15-30 minutes and removed for treatment. Tranexamic acid is then injected into the targeted area followed by MOXI™ laser. Skin can feel warm for 20-60 minutes. MENDS (Micro endothelial necrotic debris) which appear as small little dots appear on the face for 3-7 days and flake off.
