What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a collagen induction treatment designed to stimulate the skin’s natural repair processes. Using fine, controlled needles, micro-channels are created within the skin, triggering the production of collagen and elastin. This leads to improvements in skin texture, firmness and overall clarity, with a gradual, natural-looking enhancement in skin quality.

What Does Microneedling Treat:
Microneedling is a versatile treatment used to improve overall skin quality and address a range of concerns. It is particularly effective for acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin texture, enlarged pores and pigmentation.
By stimulating collagen production, it helps to strengthen and refine the skin over time, resulting in a smoother, more even and revitalised complexion.
What to Expect:
Skin is first prepared and a topical anaesthetic is applied to ensure comfort. The microneedling treatment is then performed using a medical-grade device, with depth and intensity tailored to the individual’s skin concerns.
Following treatment, the skin will appear red, similar to a mild sunburn, with occasional pinpoint bleeding depending on the depth. This typically settles within a few hours to a couple of days. Healing serums and SPF are applied immediately post-treatment to support recovery.
Treatment time is approximately 20 minutes for the face, and up to 45 minutes when including the neck and chest.
Results & Treatment Plan:
Initial improvements in skin radiance and texture can be seen within one week, with continued enhancement as collagen production increases over time.
For optimal results, a course of 3 to 5 treatments is typically recommended, spaced approximately 3 to 5 weeks apart. As collagen remodelling continues, results become progressively more noticeable, leading to firmer, smoother and more refined skin.
Downtime & Aftercare:
Downtime is minimal, with most patients experiencing redness for up to 24 hours and occasional mild swelling or sensitivity.
Patients are advised to use gentle skincare, avoid active ingredients for several days, and apply daily SPF to protect the skin during the healing phase. Makeup can usually be resumed after 24–48 hours.

Are microneedling results permanent?
