HYLASE: Reversal of fillers
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid and can aid in the correction of complications and unsatisfactory results after filler injections. The reaction of a filler to hyaluronidase depends on the concentration and amount of hyaluronidase used as well as the specific properties of the hyaluronic acid.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
It is injected into the area that is to be treated. While there is no downtime, some mild bruising, redness, swelling, temporary tenderness and itching at the injection site may occur. These reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually resolve within a few days. Most allergic reactions to hyaluronidase are local hypersensitivity reactions; however delayed hypersensitivity reactions may occur in larger concentrations of its use. A skin test can be done in non urgent situations.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS of HYALURONIDASE?
It can be used to address dissatisfaction after hyaluronic acid filler treatment and potential complications.
