Microneedling

Microneedling is a form of collagen induction, meaning that it helps to boost collagen and elastin production in the skin.  This improves skin tone, clarity and firmness.  The effects of microneedling can be enhanced with other aesthetic treatments such as chemical peels and LED light.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Skin will be prepped and topical anaesthetic is placed on skin for 20-60 minutes.  A customized microneedling treatment is done with little or no discomfort.  Skin will appear red with potential pin point areas of bleeding after treatment for hours to a few days depending on the depth of penetration.  Healing creams and SPF will be applied after treatment.  Treatment time is approximately 20 minutes for the face, and 45 minutes for the face, neck and chest.  Results improve with 2-6 treatments every 3-5 weeks.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

This customisable treatment enhances skin texture, stimulates collagen production, reduces the appearance of pigmentation, treats acne scars and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  As a collagen stimulating treatment, it is an excellent treatment for all skin types and ages.  Microneedling can be used in combination with facials, PRP, and other laser & light treatments.
